Our client is a leading independent compounder with a strong record of innovation and professional standards aligned with a commitment to customers to produce bespoke polymer solutions that add value to their businesses. They serve manufacturers, converters, OEMs, injection moulders and other companies across multiple markets and territories around the globe.
This position has a critical role, leading and expanding sales in the region, supporting the growth ambitions of the company and managing and developing the sales team, the Sales Director will:
· Optimise and manage sales to current customers.
· Convert project work and pipeline development, into sales.
· Develop new customers across diverse industries and markets.
· Manage and develop a high performing sales team.
Territory:
- The Polish market and surrounding markets not limited to Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovenia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop sales in the designated region.
- Managing the customer service / sales order processing function and developing the sales team.
- Reporting appropriate KPIs and using outcomes to further enable the sales team to perform effectively and successfully.
- Identify new target customers which will be defined and established.
- Negotiate and sell Compounds to target customers and delegate sales responsibility to members of the sales team.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the company (management, purchasing, quality, supply chain, technical, etc.).
- Grow sales in Central Europe.
- Nourish the pipeline of new business opportunities and the 369 report used so that the company can understand the timing of future growth of the business.
- Set the annual sales budget and agree sales targets for the individual members of the sales team.
- Work with the Managing Director to develop a successful sales strategy.
- Understand the overall profitability of sales and seek to find efficiencies at a transactional level by working with other business functions.
- Provide regular market updates to the Managing Director in order that the company can best support sales to Central Europe and Germany.
- On a regular basis give market feedback and pricing trends to the Managing Director and take advantage of any market intelligence from the Managing Director to optimize overall performance.
- As needed, build the sales team and provide support to the sales team under your responsibility.
- Build an effective network of industry contacts to enable the company to be recognized as a player in the market.

- Fluent (spoken and written) in English, Polish and ideally German.
- Technical interest and see possibilities instead of boundaries.
- Dynamic, with real gravitas in front of customers.
- Commutable to Lowicz.
Education & Training:
- Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant subject(Chemistry, materials science, polymer science)
- Technical knowledge of polymer raw materials.
- Proven experience in polymers, sales, marketing, preferably with experience in white goods and automotive.
