The Company:
Our client is a medium-sized market leading multinational company, who is a part of a Group which generates around €1 billion per year. Innovation is fundamental to the company’s success and the R&D department lies at the heart of this. The business has a dedicated research & development department encompassing several different disciplines: material science, physical and chemical processing and analytical science.
You will be working in a focused and highly collaborative culture, benefiting from the experience of internationally diverse colleagues that you’d expect to find in an expanding, innovative and professional company. To further strengthen the department, they are looking for a self-starter with a strong initiative to fulfil this newly created role.
The Role:
As Product Specialist Packaging, you will be responsible for the research & development of innovative product solutions and new chemistries across all fields of packaging applications. This includes functional coatings for heat seal and barrier on paper, film and foil as well as laminating adhesives and board coatings for both corrugated and rigid board. You will make sure all the work is carried out in a safe manner by respecting all regulations, safety precautions and PPE/PDM requirements.
In short, this is a very varied and challenging position combining both product development and real out-of-the-box innovation. You will interact with sales, purchasing and production departments as well as customers, suppliers and other external partners.
