Sitebased – Wiltshire

Working Hours:

39 hours per week,
Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 (flexible)
Friday 08:30 to 16:00 (flexible)

Reporting to: General Manager

Direct Reports: 15 total, 8 in Maintenance and 7 in Quality

Role Overview:

Responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within operations, this could include digitalization, feasibility, capex or further business optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, excellent communication skills and has a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
Working with cross functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the maintenance and quality departments, with direct management for the two teams.
· Managing projects from start to finish.
· Develop project monitoring tools (plans, timelines, milestones) and resource allocation.
· Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet objectives.
· Identify and mitigate risks.
· Make necessary adjustments to ensure success.
· Prepare and present presentations on project status reports to senior management.
· Adhere and ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
· Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
· Set and measure key performance indicators, ensuring the two departments continue to run effectively and efficiently.


Candidate Profile:

· Holds relevant experience and education for a manufacturing environment, such as operation management or engineering as examples.
· Experience within the plastics industry and has a firm understanding of plastic processing techniques, such as extrusion, injection or blow moulding as examples.
· Proven experience in project management and delivery.
· Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills.
· Confident with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
· Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
· Able to make informed decisions, managing problems and solving queries.
· Someone who has a hands-on approach, has an eye for detail and strives to deliver high quality work, naturally working and holding themselves to high standards.
