Based in Hattersheim am Main, Hesse
Salary: Based on experience, average fixed: 40-60K Euros
Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week – home office flexibility after probation
The Company:
Founded in 1926, our client is a pioneering chemical manufacturer specializing in the production of specialty chemicals, polymers and synthetic microfibers. Due to its own technological advances, the company has expanded into 31 countries worldwide. The Hattersheim am Main office is looking to expand the Finance and Accounting department.
Your Tasks:
· Independent supervision of asset accounting as well as project management in SAP, such as creation and settlement of assets and projects, execution and control of depreciation runs.
· Execution of all related closing work for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
· Independent execution of regular plant inventories.
· Assistance with the preparation of the half-yearly budget.
· Contact person for internal customers as well as auditors for all asset accounting-related questions.
· Digitalization of asset inventory.
· Support in other activities in general ledger accounting, such as preparation of advanced VAT returns for European countries, support and posting of atypical current accounts.
· Occasional (once or twice per year) travel to production facilities within Germany.
Candidate Profile:
· Completed training as an industrial clerk or comparable training or further education in general ledger accounting.
· Has prior experience in accounting, is highly analytical and holds great attention to detail.
· Knowledge of SAP, especially in FI and ideally AA
· Fluent in written and spoken German and basic English.
· Soft skills: strong affinity for numbers, diligence and accuracy, ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team.
